Linen

Linen is one of the oldest textiles on earth, and one of the most enduring. Made from the flax plant, nearly all of which can be used in the process, linen is produced with minimal waste and a naturally low chemical footprint. It is pest-resistant by nature, requires far less water than conventional fabrics, and is completely biodegradable returning to the earth as cleanly as it came from it. At Label Ikshaa, our linen is chosen for its weight and drape the kind that falls beautifully on the body, photographs with quiet elegance, and feels unmistakably luxurious against the skin. We work with linen that is responsibly sourced and digitally printed with our signature designs, resulting in a fabric that is as considered in its making as it is in its wearing. Mashru Silk

Mashru is a weave rooted in the Indian subcontinent, with a history that stretches back hundreds of years. The name itself means 'permitted' a reference to the traditional practice of layering silk on the outer face while keeping cotton closest to the skin. The result is a fabric that holds the lustre and richness of silk while remaining breathable, lightweight, and gentle against the body. At Label Ikshaa, we love mashru for exactly this quality: it looks like an occasion and feels like ease. Its subtle sheen catches light beautifully, and its structure lends itself to the fluid, elevated silhouettes that define our aesthetic. Viscose

Viscose is derived from natural wood pulp, making it one of the few semi-synthetic fibres with a genuinely plant-based origin. At Label Ikshaa, we work with viscose for one reason above all others: its drape. Few fabrics fall the way viscose does fluid, soft, and effortlessly graceful on the body. It is lightweight and breathable, making it especially well-suited for everyday wear in warmer months. It takes colour beautifully, allowing our printed designs to appear with exceptional clarity and depth. And because it is derived from cellulose a natural material it is biodegradable, returning to the earth at the end of its life without leaving microplastics behind.
